For Adoption

We take pride in working with many different breeds of dogs, not all are mixed breeds. Our adoption process is a very thorough process and we want to make sure that the right dog goes into the right family.

If you see a dog on this page you might be interested in adopting please fill out our Adoption Application and send it to us. We will be more then glad to contact you and move to the next step to see if this is the dog for you!

Dogs come into our rescue from local individuals and surrounding shelters. We are a small rescue so we try to help those organizations that are over crowded and need a little helping hand.

Each dog is evaluated before coming into the rescue. Checking on temperament, health, socialization, bad habits, and fear issues. We are upfront and honest to each adopter on every dog, that way there are no surprises once the dog is in the home . We will not place a dog into a home if we are not fully satisfied that this placement is solid for both dog and humans.

We don’t just stop there, we continue to stay in contact with you, answer any questions that may arise, help with training, and always there for encouragement and advise. If for any reason, the placement does not work out, which rarely happens, Save Me A Spot will gladly take the dog back into the rescue. Remember, a dog is not just a pet, it becomes a loving, lifetime family member.
