 President - Julie Stevens
Julie has worked in many fields of the animal world, which includes positions such as, Animal Control Officer for seven years and covering seven differant towns, Maine State Humane Agent for two years, Vet Tech for Dr. Jean Ennis for two years, Vice President for the Houlton Humane Society for seven years, owner/operator of Morgan’s Kennels and Sky Rescue for twelve years, a Wildlife Rehabilitator for twelve years, managing a “no kill” shelter for the Know County Humane Society for almost two years, manager of the Hydro Therepy Department for Dr. Mike Stewart, worked as vet tech for Cheshire Vet Hospital and now as manager of a dog daycare, training, boarding facility in Bloomfield, CT. Animals have always been a part of Julie’s life, and dogs have a very special part, she is never without a canine companion and will always continue to expand her experiences and training with canine friends.
Vice President - Marilyn Marks, CPCT
Marilyn has worked as a dog trainer since 1988. She is a former teacher who later focused her skills towards the dog training classroom. She has participated in the development of national certification for dog trainers(CPDT) and dog day care facilities (ABKA, now PSCA) and she writes for the Connecticut magazine, PetsPress. Marilyn worked for 5 years at the Connecticut Humane Society where she initiated a temperament testing process for evaluating the adoptability of the shelter's dogs and headed the "special adoptions" program for adoptions with behavioral issues.
Secretary - Beth Muller
Beth has two adopted rescue dogs of her own. She is a lifetime dog love and multiple adopter over the years. She is currently a psychiatric nurse practitioner working with children/adolescents at UCONN Health Center.
